We are very excited to announce the 2016 National Latin@ Institute: Strengthening Our Communities! Every other year, Casa de Esperanza’s National Latin@ Network brings together professionals from a variety of fields for the National Latin@ Institute. This year’s Institute will be held in Denver, Colorado on June 20-22, 2016. This Institute will provide participants with significant opportunities for networking, resource and expertise sharing and critical discussions on traditionally challenging topics. The event is conceived for all Latin@s and their allies working together to end family and community violence, gender based violence, and other forms of oppression.

Institute Objectives

By the end of the institute participants will be better able to:

  • Critically analyze the significance, tensions and strengths of diversity within the Latin@ communities.
  • Enhance their individual, systems and community advocacy based on this critical analysis.
  • Integrate concrete organizational development practices and tools in their advocacy work.
  • Connect with other organizations and activists to advance their individual and collective practice.

  1. Will you be offering any sort of scholarships? I am the first Latina Executive Director in my state. My agency only has three full time employees and two part time employees. Without a scholarship I could not attend.

    1. Casa de Esperanza says:

Hi Maricella, we wish that we could provide scholarships to attend the Institute, but we are unable to do so at this time. You can inquire about other technical assistance opportunities that might be available to you by contacting Heidi Notario at hnotario@casadeesperanza.org.
